Method
1. Four glasses, each of different colour-shades (transparent, light blue, dark blue and black), were filled up with 250mL of water.
2. All four glasses were placed inside the refrigerator, until they reached 6.5°C (the temperature of the fridge).
3. The glasses were left for another 20 minutes at this temperature.
4. Two torches and a lamp were turned on, and positioned in a circle, with an opening in the middle.
5. The lightest-coloured glass was taken out of the fridge and placed in the centre of the light sources.
6. The glass was then left to warm up for 15 minutes, with a temperature reading recorded every minute, with a digital thermometer.
7. Steps 5 and 6 were repeated on the other three glasses.
8. Steps 1-7 was repeated 3 times and results were averaged, recorded and tabulated.
